Information pertaining to our club members in light of the COVID-19 pandemic - Special conditions apply at the Gran Melia Palacio De Los Duques
Behind the Elizabethan facade of the Gran Meliá Palacio de los Duques, a story is told of dukes and famous painters who once walked the hallways of the palace, but it’s not buried in literature. It’s in the artworks that adorn the hotel, inspired by the masterpieces of Spanish painter Diego Velázquez (and who original palace owners the Dukes of Ega and Villahermosa were patrons of). From the magical setting of the Coroa Gallery Lounge to the reproduction of the painter’s best-known work “Las Meninas” in the Presidential Suite, everywhere you look, the legacy of Velázquez's work lives on. Another highlight is the hotel’s rooftop pool, surrounded by sunbeds and panoramic views of Madrid while the Thai Room spa, with its warm decor, Chinese antiques and exotic perfumes, feels like a piece of Asia in the heart of the Spanish capital. The hotel also has three dining venues, and the Dos Cielos restaurant run by the Michelin-starred Torres brothers comes with our highest recommendation.
